Good Trouble
This self-governance thing doesn’t happen by itself. Every generation has to do the work of preserving and expanding liberty. We don’t get to take our foot off the gas – in a democratic system, there is no cruise control. Each generation has to decide whether they'll accept what they're told or continue to pursue something better. The solution isn't finding the right person to wield unchecked authority – it’s making sure no one ever gets that authority in the first place.
